Gondielle is an elegant fantasy lantern inspired by the timeless architecture of Elven realms. Designed to evoke the feeling of ancient carved stone, it brings a warm, magical atmosphere to bookshelves, reading nooks, wedding tables, and fantasy-inspired interiors.

The lantern features a two-piece twist-lock mechanism, making it easy to assemble and access the interior for an LED candle or fairy lights. It was carefully designed for FDM printing and has been successfully printed in PLA.

Window PanelsThe STL files include open window frames. For the finished look shown in the photos, I used frosted acetate sheets behind the openings to diffuse the light. You can also use tracing paper, vellum, thin frosted plastic, or leave the windows open if you prefer.

Gondielle was named from two Elvish roots: gond, meaning stone in Sindarin, and -iel, a feminine suffix in Quenya often translated as maiden or daughter. Together, the name can be read as Maiden of the Stone, a tribute to the lantern's carved architectural forms and the enduring beauty that inspired its design.
