Elvish Lantern

Elvish Lantern 3D print model

Description

Hi there!

I created a The Lord of the Rings inspired Elvish Lantern. I am happily using it on my bookshelf. I placed a LED candle inside it. There is a hole underneath the lantern for the purpose of putting candle. After putting your LED candle, you can easily close it with the lantern's cover.

You can print it easily and WITHOUT SUPPORT.

Very detailed model, looks very nice when printed. However I did run into problems because the base has some areas that are undercut and therefore the model does not stick well to the build surface, a wide brim is required. Also because of the undercut of the base in some areas some filament can not stick to the layer below. i had to do some Gcode editing to move layers around until I got a good print.

I increased the size to 130% to accommodate a larger candle. It's a long print, but it looks great so far.
