This is a alligator skull model. It is or may not bef entirly accurate to a real alligator skull but is very high in detail. This model is to scale and ready to be 3D printed. On the inside of the skull you can also see the teeth which can be seen and felt on a 3D print. All of the details come out very fine.
I reccomend setting the alligator verticle when 3d printing (nose pointing up) this will capture the most detail possible while also using a bit less filliment.
Can be printed with normal or tree supports, tree supports are easier to remove.
WARNING READ; when printing the aligator vertical as recommended, make sure to add extra supports along the jaw bones, In my experiance the jaw bones wiggle too much when printing causing them to have terrible detail and weakened sturctures or break entirly, the rest of the skull will print fine however. To ensure the jaw prints seemlessly with the skull, get the cura add support add-on, this will let you click on the model and add supports where needed, you will just need to add supports enough to prevent the jaw from wiggiling until it is able to connect with the rest of the model while printing.(Another way to explain this; when the printer is putting a layer down on the jaws, it also drags on it a bit making it come loose and potentially turn into spegettii. such as printing a tall very thin tower)
I did use blender and cura to get my final print result, as such I exported my project from blender in meters, in cura it is conveted into millimeters. If importing the model into another software or into blender, it may be significanly larger than expected. as such it can just be rescaled.
