A cosy little gnome sits on the rim of a round tealight holder, holding out his hands to warm them at the flame, like sitting at a campfire. Put in an LED tealight, and the glow lights up his hands and beard. The holder is a plain, smooth cup, so the gnome is the only detail and stays the focus. It prints as one piece and needs no assembly.
Use cases:
Christmas, Advent and winter table decorationWindowsill, shelf or mantel light for a cosy cornerGift for gnome (Wichtel) collectors, Scandi-decor fans and anyone who likes cosy giftsNursery or kids' room night light, with an LED tealightCentrepiece for a dinner table, in a set of two or threeQuick market item, because it prints fast and sells as a gift
Important safety note: use an LED tealight only. A real flame will melt or burn PLA and PETG, and the gnome's hands sit close to the candle.
Recommended print settings:
Material: PLA, in white as in the photos, or grey, cream or red. Matte or silk white looks like ceramic.Layer height: 0.12–0.16 mm, to keep the face, beard and hands clean.Walls / infill: 3 walls and 10–15% infill. The gnome leans over the rim, so walls matter more than infill.Orientation: upright, with the holder's flat bottom on the bed.Supports: yes, for the gnome's raised hands, his arms and the underside of his body where it overhangs the rim. Use tree supports and keep contact off the face. Add a brim if the holder's walls are thin.Finishing: sand off support marks. Paint the hat red and the nose pink if you want colour.
