A bird of prey in the moment of take-off, with its wings raised high, its tail fanned and its head turned in a sharp, focused gaze. The feathers and wing tips are sculpted with a faceted, slightly angular texture that looks striking in matte black and catches the light on its edges. It stands on a rock-style base, so it needs no stand.
Use cases:
Statement piece for a shelf, desk, mantel or officeGift for bird lovers, falconry fans and anyone who likes eagle or raptor symbolism (freedom, strength, vision)Display for a study, man cave, gothic or rustic interiorPainting project, in matte black, bronze, stone or white marble effect
Recommended print settings:
Material: PLA in matte black for decoration. Use PETG if it will sit somewhere warm or get knocked often. Resin gives the finest feather detail.Layer height: 0.08–0.12 mm, to keep the feather edges and the beak.Walls / infill: 3 walls and 15–20% infill. The raised wings and tail are thin, so don't use fewer than 3 walls.Orientation: upright on the rock base.Supports: yes. The wings have large overhangs, and the tail, the head and beak, and the underside of the body will need support. Use tree supports and keep contact off the face and the upper wing surfaces. Add a brim if the base is small.Finishing: matte black filament hides layer lines. For a painted finish, sand, prime, and dry-brush grey or bronze over the feathers and rock.
