The U452is a fun little utility vehicle that can be configured in many different ways. One of the most popular conversions for this military vehicle from the past, is a modern camper.

Being roughly the same size as the Crawler V303, it is ideally matched with a chassis with a width of 235mm outer tyre to tyre, using 100mm - 105mm tyres. Wheelbase is designed at 290mm, however extended rear portions of the cab allow fitting of 313mm and 324mm wheelbases as well.

Body mounts for TRX4, SCX10 II, SCX10 III, and VS4-10 chassis are included. As with all our other mounts, these bolt directly onto the chassis rails. Please note that depending on the chassis you are using, aftermarket shock towers may be required. Additionally, all inner fenders may need to be removed.

To make battery access easier, all doors are mounted on hinges. The front and side doors are snapped shut with magnets, while the rear door uses a simple 3D printed mechanical latch. To ensure the body is able to take a beating out on the trails, heavy duty rock sliders are included and can be bolted directly onto the chassis body mounts.

In addition to the protected undersides, there are 3 different styles of front bumpers. Ranging from a lightweight standard piece to a more heavy duty and higher clearance style bumper for light rock crawling duties, to a full on expedition bull bar bumper.

As part of the free roaming spirit, an expedition roof rack and accessories are included. This roof rack can also be removed to reduce the already high CG and roll-happy body. This will also let you configure the U452 however you’d like.
