This is the 3d model set for a small 3d printable bulk linear vibrator. This makes a great companion to the other bowl feeder designs I have published. I initially designed this little guy as a top up hopper for a small bowl feeder project that fed 6mm O rings into an automated assembly machine. As the bowl feeder got low on parts, this unit would turn on and top it up to the optimum level, and then turn off and wait.
Despite it's small size, it will perform well even when loaded up fully with metallic parts. The feedout rate can be easily modified by using the internal baffles as well as adjusting the running frequency.
In addition to the printed parts, you will need a vibrating motor (from eBay - 24mm body diameter seems to work the best), 6 x m3x6 socket head cap screws, a little PWM controller and a DC power supply. I find that using a slightly higher quality PWM controller yields significantly better results than the really cheap and nasty ones.
