This traditional puzzle box features an internal space in the lower section, a perfect size for rings and similar jewelry, and place for a small note under the top. This is a gift box unlike any other. And it's scalable to whatever size you need. The model is a 3.5" cube, and this 3D print was scaled down at print time to approximately 2" cube.

The engraved ribbed detail indicates the top, and a small stepped detail identifies the bottom, so the box is held upright when opened, and the contents stay inside.

You'll probably need some sanding and cleanup to obtain smooth operation. Note that when the model is first finished, the points of the dovetail keys and the corners of the way slots are very sharp...! However, when sanding and finishing, be careful not to round over those sharp points too much, as that will spoil the illusion. I finish sanded with 220 grit, and then used a little vegetable oil on the dovetail keys and ways for smooth operation.

Alignment of the dovetail keys and ways is dependent upon your printer's settings and accuracy. The model was created and rendered in TurboCAD v20. The product was printed on an UpMini at 200 micron, fine print settings, in UP! Pompeii Gray PLA. Also looks fantastic in two colors. Enjoy...!
