This introductory set of three pieces debuts the DOMOBITS desk accessory line; you get all files for all three pieces. These fun and seriously functional desk accessories are based on a compact, 3-1/4” diameter dome shape, and they work together in almost any arrangement to organize your desktop with style. All of these designs have gone through several iterations, each printed and checked, using an UpMini printer with a heated bed, using ABS in 0.2mm layers. More DOMOBITS are planned.

Each DOMOBIT element features a bottom surface with concentric ridges. This was designed to make raft removal easy, and works well for that purpose; it also looks great. DOMOBITS can be used right off the printer, or with self-adhesive felt, foam or rubber bottom pads added. The bottoms are slightly inset, at 3-1/8” diameter, with a wide outer band to provide additional surface for better adhesion; cut pad circles from your choice of materials that come with adhesive backs.

Adhesive-backed felts and foams are usually available at craft stores, but unless you can print NinjaFlex, rubber pads are harder to come by; however, adhesive-backed neoprene rubber is available online. One source is http://www.mcmaster.com. Their ITEM #1376N33, is a 4” wide x 36” long x 1/16” thick strip, in 60A ( Medium Hard) durometer; it’s under $20. You’ll get a dozen pads for any DOMOBIT, cut from one strip.

DOMOPEN The pen holder is designed to hold six (2) pens of up to 0.42” (10.5mm) diameter around the perimeter, with a central utility holder of 0.84” (21mm) diameter for larger markers. The ridged base has a slightly raised (0.015”) center nub, which allows DOMOPEN to rotate; sand lightly to adjust swiveling action. [FILE: DOMOPEN.STL]

DOMOCARD This unique piece combines a standard horizontal card holder with vertical card storage behind. DOMOCARD also features the ribbed bottom, but without the raised center; make this DOMOBIT stationary by adding a self-adhesive rubber pad. [FILE: DOMOCARD.STL]

DOMOCLIP Originally designed to hold paperclips or rubberbands, this small container and lid set has many other applications. Use it for jewelry or other small items, or print several in different colors to organize your hardware collection. The unique finger-grip top compliments the rounded style of the DOMOBITS line.
