MyPint Mk 3 Snap On Pint Holder for Mic Stands

MyPint Mk 3 Snap On Pint Holder for Mic Stands 3D print model

Description

Musicians have to lug around a lot of equipment and the hardest part of any gigging evening is the setting up and breaking down (I always said that the performance was the part I did for free, it was the lugging the gear, setting up, breaking down and lugging it home that I got paid for). One of THE most important things you can have when gigging is... yer pint. Yes there's the obvious lager intake to 'improve' your playing, but there's also the ability to have on-the-go hydration to keep your throat working and your energy up.

There are a lot of pint holders out there but most of them are metal which you need to screw onto the stand and they can get in the way. This is my version of those, and it's actually the MK III version of one of my oldest designs (which, I believe is still in my store here). The original was in one piece, this version consists of a snaplock module which clips on the standard 15mm mic stand and then the holder attachment slips into it. It's designed to take the standard pint glass (as per the photo) but will take a wide range of glass sizes so you can get as much hydration as you need. And then at the end of the gig you can unsnap and it all takes up as little space as possible in your gig bag!

I'm aiming to release a range of applications which will interface with the Snaplock stand mount, but the pint had to be first! I'd recommend printing it in black, but basically you can print it in any colour you need. I also recommend assembling the ring module with epoxy rather than superglue to make it extra-tough and gig proof.

You can order a MyPint Mk 3, printed and assembled, in a range of colours in my Etsy store - www.etsy.com/uk/shop/enterprisexddesign
