DOMOCUP 3D print model
Part of the DOMOBITS desk accessory line, and originally designed to hold paperclips or rubberbands, this small container and lid set has many applications. Use it for jewelry or other small items, or print several in different colors to organize a hardware or bead collection. The unique, recessed finger-grip top echoes the rounded style of the DOMOBITS line.
The container and lid each feature a bottom surface with concentric ridges, designed to make raft removal easy, and it does. DOMOCLIP can be used right off the printer, or finished with a self-adhesive felt, foam or rubber bottom pad; the wider outer ring provides extra grip surface for the pad.
Adhesive-backed felts and foams are usually available at craft stores, but self-adhesive rubber pads are more difficult to find. One source is http://www.mcmaster.com. Their Item 1376N33, is a 4 in wide x 36 in long x 1/16 in thick strip of adhesive-backed neoprene rubber, in 60A ( Medium Hard) durometer; it’s under $20. One strip yields a dozen pads for any DOMOBIT.
All DOMOBITS designs have gone through several iterations, each printed on an UpMini with heated bed, using Black ABS in 0.2mm layers.
