DESCRIPTION

Are you in the mood to replace a bulky and giant wallet with a slim and sleek, minimalist design? This is a basic 3D printed minimalist wallet to solve that problem. This 3D printed wallet allows for storage of multiple cards with the option of also storing a few bills with the added cash strap.

Print Instructions

  • Material: PLA
  • Supports: Maybe
    • Nothing require supports if oriented correctly, but to get a better surface finish, you may want to support the countersunk holes on the top and bottom covers
  • Orientation:
    • Print the top and bottom cover pieces on their back, where the least amount of bridging is required.
    • The orientation of the clip does not particularly matter

    • Ensure that the elastic strap is running through the bottom cover correctly
    • Screw the bottom cover together (you may want to try heat setting the screws)
    • Assemble the top cover around the elastic strap
    • Screw the top cover together (you may want to try heat setting the screws)
  • Elastic band assembly
    • Sew a band of elastic that is tight around the bottom cover and top cover pieces
    • Sew on another piece of elastic that loops from one side of the first band to the other that follows the channels in the printed pieces
    • Then sew another piece of elastic on top of the first band to make a sort of snowman shape
    • Before finishing the last step make sure to weave in the cash clip piece
    • Try to avoid placing three pieces of elastic on top of each other well creating the band as this may make it difficult to screw the wallet together
