This is a single scale designed as a repeating panel instead of a loose individual piece, which makes covering big surfaces like a shirt or tunic a lot less tedious. Print the panels, snap them together with the included connectors, and build up your coverage row by row instead of placing hundreds of loose scales by hand.
Good fit for anyone building scalemail armor, dragon-scale garments, or any cosplay piece that needs a large area covered in overlapping plates - tops, sleeves, skirts, cloaks, that kind of thing. The panel format also keeps the scale pattern even and consistent across the whole piece, which is hard to pull off when you're placing every scale one at a time.
Prints in PLA with no supports needed. The file set includes both the scale panels and the connector pieces used to link them together, so you can go straight from printer to assembly.
Printing Settings:
Ensure your printer is well-calibrated and the bed is leveled for optimal results. Maintain bed adhesion by keeping the bed clean and free of grease. Use isopropyl alcohol for cleaning and apply adhesive if necessary.
