DESCRIPTION

The typical Aircraft Air starter trolley found on most cold war Royal Air Force bases up until the 1990s. These were Originally by Turbo Diesels, latterly Hants & Sussex Aviation. The STAD 250 or MK12 Low Pressure air starter was used for many RAF (& Navy) types such as the Vulcan, Buccaneer, FGR2,etc, and Visiting aircraft such as the F-4 and F-16.

This model has versions with opened up panel & exhaust. Closed up panels in towing configuration, with no hose fitted, and also no hose or hose trough. A separate Hose on the ground, ready for use, is supplied. The main body is hollowed out and there are drainage holes built in.

The dimensions are in real world units. The model size in towing configuration is X: 1.60487m Y: 3.95304 Z:1.48307
In Opened configuration it is X: 1.60487m Y: 3.94171m Z: 1.5748m

Scale Settings:Useful settings: For 1/72th, Scale = 1388.888%. For 1/48th, Scale = 2083.333% . For 1/32th, Scale = 3125.000%.For 1/24th, Scale = 4166.666%

How to calculate this percentage for the slicer without knowing the model dimensions. First we know that the model unit is 1m, and has been interpreted by the slicer as 1mm. 1m = 1000mm, so to get the right scale, divide 1000 by your scale. EG 1000 divided by 48 = 20.83333. Now multiply the result by 100 because we need a percentage. The final result is 2083.333 as shown above. All other scales use the same formula.

The model has thin parts, so it may lose detail at smaller scales. A good size for a 1/48th scale version would be 82.118mm. Just enter that into the Y dimension and use constrain proportions. The photos of the test example are printed at 1/48 scale and a layer height of .02mm on a Mars2 Pro.
