The Sigma class is a family of modular Dutch-made naval vessels, corvette or frigate size, designed by the Damen Group.
Sigma stands for Hip Integrated G eometrical M odularity A pproach. The basic design of the Sigma Patrol Series may vary as the hull segments are designed as components. Ships may vary in the number of hull segments and the order in which they are placed. The dimensions of the length of the vessel and the length of the beam lead to the respective SIGMA type names: SIGMA 9113 is 91 m (298 ft 7 in) 13 m (42 ft 8 in) long, SIGMA 10513, is 105 m (344 ft 6 in) longer with a 13 m (42 ft 8 in) beam
The design is derived from the form of an earlier High Speed Displacement hull by MARIN Teknikk AS in the 1970s.
