This latest project is the LPD-Based Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Ship, a vessel proposed by HII (Huntington Ingalls Industries) in 2014 and 2017 as a potential replacement for the U.S. Navy’s Ticonderoga-class cruisers. Based on the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock, the initial 2014 proposal featured a staggering 288 VLS cells. However, after the U.S. Navy indicated that such a high number was unnecessary, the design was later revised to reduce the count by 96 cells.

My model is specifically based on the 2014 version with the full 288 VLS cells. For the helicopter deck, I referenced the JS Katori model from the mobile game Modern Warships.

While I initially allocated 10 days for this project, the process went much smoother than expected, allowing me to complete it in just 5 days—half the planned time.

This will likely be my final model before starting university. After finishing my retake year in 2025, I’ve been accepted into a Business Administration program. While being a student won't stop me from 3D modeling entirely, I won't be able to produce new work as frequently as I did between November 2025 and February 2026. Nevertheless, I plan to balance my time between my university studies, improving my English, and dedicating my spare moments to my passion for 3D modeling.
