Hello, it has been quite a while since my last post.
The reason I haven't uploaded or sold any work for about a week was due to an outsourcing/commission project for a military expert. For reference, I have been granted permission to sell this commission piece myself in three months.
Anyway, returning to the work I am uploading today, the Yak-15 is a Soviet first-generation jet fighter. It was developed by the Yakovlev Design Bureau to test the Junkers Jumo 004 jet engine, which was captured from Germany during World War II. Although it was a transitional model with a very brief service life, about 280 units were produced and deployed in 1947, making it a combat-ready aircraft that was actually utilized.
I started make Yak-15 on the morning of Friday, August 8th, just as my previous commission project was practically wrapping up, and finished it on Saturday morning—making it a project completed at a very fast pace. Normally, like the F-84 before it, it would have taken about three days to complete, but this one was finished in practically a single day, or a day plus a few hours. I believe either my skills have improved, I procrastinated less, or perhaps both. Furthermore, this model features proper rigging (armature/bones) applied to the landing gear, so I am quite satisfied with the outcome!
