Ancient Chinese Seismograph Cutaway View is a three-dimensional model of Ancient Chinese seismograph that is a traditional Chinese device designed to detect and record seismic activity, known for its intricate and historical design.
An early Chinese seismograph from 132 CE featured a metal container with dragon heads holding balls and frogs below to catch them. It was used to sense earthquakes. When seismic waves hit, a ball would drop into a frog’s mouth, showing the quake's direction. It’s a major early invention in geoscience.
