Canadian Space Agency single stage sounding rocket.
First fired in the early 1960s, the spin stabilized, single stage Black Brant III was a scaled down rocket from the BB II for carrying small payloads into the lower atmosphere. A BB IIIB was later designed with a high-efficiency propellant. The Black Brant III was launched up to May 1985 for a total of 66 launches.
