Minato Namikaze is a major character in the manga/anime series Naruto. He was the Fourth Hokage of Konohagakure (Village Hidden in the Leaves), and one of the village's most skilled and talented shinobis. He is also the mentor of Kakashi Hatake, Obito Uchiha, and Rin Nohara.
He is the husband of Kushina Uzumaki, and the father of Naruto Uzumaki. He is also the father-in-law of Hinata Hyūga, and the paternal grandfather of Boruto and Himawari Uzumaki.
Like Naruto and Boruto, Minato has blonde hair and blue eyes. He is tall and is shown to wear the Hidden Leaf Village flak jacket along with a white robe with the Kanji of "Fourth Hokage' written on the back. After his reincarnation with Orochimaru's Summoning: Impure World Reincarnation jutsu, the sclera of his eyes turned from white to black and his body had cracks all around it.
Minato is a respectful and a friendly man. He was willing to defend the Hidden Leaf Village from multiple threats such as the Third Great Ninja War and the Nine-Tailed Demon Attack on the Hidden Leaf Village. He is shown to deeply care for Kushina and was willing to protect her from the Hidden Clouds Ninjas. When a threat to a village like Tobi appears, Minato was willing to take his enemies very seriously. He also shows care for his son, Naruto, and entrusts him with helping the village.
After his death and resurrection, Minato is shown to be supportive of his son, Naruto. He was shocked to find out that the Masked Man was Obito Uchiha. He was willing to hear Obito's point of view and wanted to apologize to Obito for his own loss. After Obito's death, Minato was open to forgiving Obito for all the atrocities he has committed.
When Naruto and Team 7 managed to save the world from Kaguya Otsutsuki, Minato expressed happiness over how much his son have accomplished and his growth.
