The Bede BD-5 Micro is a very-small single-seat homebuilt kit aircraft designed by American aircraft designer Jim Bede. The aircraft took its first flight on September 12, 1971. The aircraft comes with two modes of propulsion: propeller or jet. The jet-variant of the aircraft is the world's smallest jet aircraft, weighing under 400 lbs (180 kg). The aircraft also has two different wing lengths. This specific model shows a 1972 long-wing propeller Bede BD-5 registered N5123G. This specific airframe is currently preserved at the Connecticut Air and Space Museum in Stratford, CT.
