Rigging & Animation Demo:

https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1cAdrBZE1n/?vd_source=7cc90315ad1d01beb82677e125c39329

In the main 3ds Max format file, movable parts such as the wings, landing gear, cockpit, and air brakes have been linked and rigged, with controllers provided for wing movement. However, exported universal formats (e.g., FBX, OBJ) do not include rigging, animations, or controllers. For details, please refer to the video preview.

Models and textures include:

• Aircraft Main Body – 8192 resolution PBR workflow textures, V‑Ray workflow textures for rendering in 3ds Max; Substance Painter source file provided for texturing process.

• Landing Gear – 4096 resolution PBR workflow textures, V‑Ray workflow textures for rendering in 3ds Max; Substance Painter source file provided for texturing process.

• Tires – 2048 resolution PBR workflow textures, V‑Ray workflow textures for rendering in 3ds Max; Substance Painter source file provided for texturing process.

• Cockpit – 4096 resolution PBR workflow textures, V‑Ray workflow textures for rendering in 3ds Max; Substance Painter source file provided for texturing process.

• Ejection Seat – 4096 resolution PBR workflow textures, V‑Ray workflow textures for rendering in 3ds Max; Substance Painter source file provided for texturing process.

• External Fuel Tanks – 2048 resolution PBR workflow textures, V‑Ray workflow textures for rendering in 3ds Max; ready‑to‑use shelf textures provided. No Substance Painter file included; available for separate purchase if needed.

• Sky Sword I Short‑Range Air‑to‑Air Missile – 4096 resolution PBR workflow textures, V‑Ray workflow textures for rendering in 3ds Max; ready‑to‑use shelf textures provided. No Substance Painter file included; available for separate purchase if needed.

• Sky Sword II Medium‑Range Air‑to‑Air Missile – 4096 resolution PBR workflow textures, V‑Ray workflow textures for rendering in 3ds Max; ready‑to‑use shelf textures provided. No Substance Painter file included; available for separate purchase if needed.

Note: The polygon count screenshot shows the model with all external stores mounted. Different loadout configurations will have slightly lower poly counts. The clean configuration (no external stores, only pylons) ranges from 28,000 to 30,000 polygons. Please do not make misleading comparisons based on the fully loaded screenshot.

Provided texture workflows:

  1. PBR workflow (AO + Metallic + Roughness + Normal, etc.)
  2. PBR workflow (AO + Diffuse + Specular + Glossiness + Normal, etc.)
  3. Traditional V‑Ray renderer texture workflow (AO + Diffuse + Reflection + Glossiness + IOR + Normal, etc.)

Provided file formats:

  1. 3ds Max 2018 model file, including rigging links and animation test files, with V‑Ray 6.0 materials and render settings.
  2. FBX 2018 format file.
  3. OBJ format file.
  4. Substance Painter 11.0 project files for texturing (aircraft main body, cockpit, ejection seat, landing gear, etc., each as a separate file).

Special Notes:

  1. If the product description explicitly states that rigging is included, it refers to the 3ds Max master file only. Universal formats such as FBX and OBJ do not contain rigging or controller data.
  2. The 3ds Max files are set up for the V‑Ray renderer. If using other renderers, please replace the texture files accordingly or re‑export the required textures from the Substance Painter project.
  3. Normal maps are exported in DirectX orientation. For OpenGL, invert the green channel (G channel in RGB) in software such as Photoshop, or re‑export the normal maps from the Substance Painter file.
  4. Universal formats are exported from the 3ds Max V‑Ray scene. When importing into other software, reassign the appropriate texture maps to the corresponding material channels.
  5. The provided Substance Painter files may not include the texturing process for every component. Common reusable assets—such as turrets, vehicle tires, missiles, and tracks—may use shelf textures, and their source painting files will not be provided separately. This will be clearly noted in the description. If you require the Substance Painter files for these parts, please check the actual SP screenshot and purchase accordingly.

No unsupported objects
Unsupported objects:
- Lights
- Cameras
Learn more
Geometry
No N-gons
N-gons are polygons with five or more sides which might cause issues in certain processes like rendering or animation. Learn more
No faceted geometry
Faceted geometry uses flat surfaces without smoothing, which can look unrealistic on curves.
Learn more
Manifold geometry
Manifold geometry ensures all surfaces are properly connected, avoiding issues like edges shared by more than two faces.

Textures & material
PBR textures
PBR textures simulate how light interacts with materials, making the model look realistic under different lighting.
Required PBR textures:
- Base Color
- Roughness
- Metalness
- Normal
Learn more
No embed textures
Embedded textures are stored inside the model file, increasing its size and sometimes causing compatibility issues.
Learn more
Square textures
Texture aspect ratio is the width-to-height ratio of a texture. Expected texture aspect ratio: 1:1
Learn more
Power of 2 texture sizes
Textures with dimensions in power of two (e.g. 512x512px, 1024x1024px) are used to optimize performance and memory usage.
Learn more
Assigned materials
Materials are applied to the 3D model to allow visualize a model's surface properties and appearance.
Learn more
UVs & naming
No UV overlaps
UVs overlap when multiple points on the 3D model's surface are mapped to the same point on the UV island causing texture stretching.
Learn more
UV unwrapped model
A UV unwrapped model means its 3D surface is flattened into 2D space, allowing textures to be applied accurately.
