I have recently completed a 3D model of the 'Leonardo Proteus,' an uncrewed helicopter currently being developed by Leonardo Helicopters for the Royal Navy. Thanks to its relatively simple exterior, the modeling process was completed quickly in just about two days.
While detailed specifications remain limited, the final design of the Proteus was unveiled in January 2025. It is designed to carry interchangeable modular payloads to meet diverse mission requirements, such as maritime resupply and anti-submarine warfare (ASW). Notably, it was developed using Digital Twin and AI technologies, with over 40 components manufactured from advanced composite materials. Its maiden flight took place on January 26, 2026.
This model will be included as part of my previously completed ROK Navy Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T) Carrier Package. (While it remains uncertain whether the ROK Navy will ever adopt this specific helicopter, it makes for a great addition to the set!)
