The North American B-25 Mitchell was a twin-engine American medium bomber built from 1940–1945, with 9,816 produced and used by the United States and many Allied air forces in every theater of World War II. Armament varied heavily by model: early aircraft carried defensive machine guns and bomb loads, while later variants mounted combinations of .50 caliber machine guns, rockets, torpedoes, and even a 75 mm cannon in the B-25G and B-25H gunship versions; some late strafing versions carried up to 14 forward-firing .50 caliber machine guns. The B-25 became famous as the aircraft used in the Doolittle Raid, where 16 bombers took off from an aircraft carrier despite not being designed for carrier operations.

This model is designed and tested at 1/900th scale, but up-scaling and down-scaling are possible. Since the model is optimized for 1/900th scale, it is not ideal to print larger versions due to a lack of detail. The model has been enlarged along the z axis to allow for better printing and accentuation of detail.
