Lotus Lamp

Lotus Lamp Free 3D print model

Description

third prize winner of the POLYMAKERCHALLENGE

This Ambient Lamp is inspired by the Lotus Flower. It consist out of 10 parts mainly to make it FDM printing ready. Print support is still necessary for the “center.stl”, “mid.stl” & the “bottom.stl” parts. The mid & bottom parts are printed in translucent Green PET-G and the center was printed in White PLA. The PLA is translucent enough :-) with the settings : 0.2mm layer hight, 0.8mm top/bottom thickness, 0.8mm wall thickness & 20% infill. Inside this example are 1 Red, 1 Green and 1 Blue LED. The bending of the light in the center part makes a Rainbow at the top of the Lamp. I tried to photograph it and succeeded a little bit. You can see it on one of the Pictures :-) Also the overall color of the lamp can change by dimming the LEDs individually. The dimensions of this Lamp Assembled are 142,16mm x 146,257mm and 72.18mm high.

Of course other Light sources can be used as long as it fits :-) The hole for the Light source (in the center part) has a radius of around 32mm (inside is egg shaped)

Also included is a exploded view of the Lamp. This makes it easier to see how it all comes together.

If you have questions, feel free to ask :-)

Hi j-yak, Yes it is hard to see it on the Photos. But on the second one you can see the aluminum disk on the end of the wire. This disk is used as a heat sink for the 3 LED's. The LED's are glued on with thermal glue paste. You can find these LED's all over the Internet. I used the 1W ones. An example https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/32795405724.html?src=google&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=494-037-6276&isdl=y&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&aff_platform=google&aff_short_key=UneMJZVf&&albagn=888888&albcp=1706100219&albag=73428776544&trgt=539263010115&crea=nl32795405724&netw=u&device=c&albpg=539263010115&albpd=nl32795405724&gclid=Cj0KCQjwy6T1BRDXARIsAIqCTXpyluh6GX5Ju9N0ALsKAEGbs8aZ5bSIF73Qr4aCdJDsRfavckMne6MaAoJYEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds. But if you Google 1W power LED they will show up everywhere. Please note that you need a Red, Green and Blue one. I hope this helps you a bit. Otherwise feel free to ask more questions :-)
