**3D model description**This is a 3D Scanning Marker Pyramid With Embedded Magnet
Back story: I started to do free-lance 3D scanning, it was great at first. But I quickly faced a daunting challenge: large objects like cars made my scanning markers count plummet. Frustrated by unsuitable online solutions, I forged my path. With a mix of ingenuity and determination, I crafted a new approach, turning my scanning saga into an epic quest for digital perfection!
I am not the first one to come up with this idea, I only make it in a way that would fit my usage. Thank you for reading, please leave a 5-star review if this is helpful to you
**3D printing settings**There is a hole in the middle of this pyramid, you need to tell your slicer to pause your print at around 8.5 mm height to insert the magnet then resume printing. The hole has a diameter of 15mm and 7.5 height.
From my testing, it does not need to be a tight fit, any magnet smaller than that should work. The rest of the print setting does not matter, you can choose whatever you are comfortable with
Updated: Bottom-mounted
There is a hole at the bottom of this part to insert a magnet. The hole has a diameter of 5.2 mm and a height of 3mm.
From my testing, you will need double-sided tape or glue to keep secure the magnet in place
FDM print, all material will worklayer height 0.1no support magnet
