DESCRIPTION

A digital reconstruction of the Dame de Brassempouy, also known as the Lady with the Hood — one of the most remarkable faces created during the Upper Paleolithic.

Carved from mammoth ivory discovered in 1894 in the Grotte du Pape in France, this tiny sculpture measures only about 3.65 cm in height. Its distinctive cross-hatched headdress, carefully shaped brow, nose, and chin continue to inspire artists and researchers today.
