These plants are created by the very experienced modeler Konstantin Kim and sold exclusively by Xfrog. Kim (aka 3d Mentor) works in 3ds max GrowFX, and sets up shaders for Corona, VRay, and FStorm. ALL plants, for the first time EVER, have GrowFX (gfx) files included, and WIND, and all models and wind can be procedurally edited! Polycounts range from 100k to 600k. Download includes three models.

Matteuccia Struthiopteris: Ostrich Fern Matteuccia Struthiopteris, also known as fiddlehead or shuttlecock fern, is a deciduous, colony forming fern occurring in temperate regions of the northern hemisphere and central and Northern Europe, Northern Asia, and North America. It grows from a completely vertical crown, favoring riverbanks and sandbars, but sends out lateral stolons to form new crowns. It can thus form dense colonies resistant to destruction by floodwaters. The ostrich fern is a popular ornamental plant in gardens, and the tightly wound immature fronds, called fiddleheads, are cooked in the Northeast US and Japan, and are considered a delicacy.
