Description

This 3D model was originally created with Sketchup 13 and then converted to all other 3D formats. Native format is .skp 3dsmax scene is 3ds Max 2016 version, rendered with Vray 3.00 A renovation idea for the Nicollet Island in downtown Minneapolis. Obviously this idea is fantasy but with the growing popularity of Nordeast it might not be such a tabuu idea. This island could be what connects downtown Minne and northeast when that neighborhood begins to resemble a mini Saint Paul. The fundamental function of this portion of the island is to be a mix of office, hotel and apartments/ condos. It will primarily be office, as this area is a buisiness district(in fact I designed it to be the greenest buisiness district). Not only would this project connect both skylines, it will also help us meet our 2025 plan: Quote Lead the nation in transportation options. That is impossible with out boats, as every major city takes advantage of their rivers/ seas to navigate pedestrians to their destinations. If the street car gets built, that would even further connect downtown with the island and northeast. The only major flaw (besides costs)would be dictating if nicollet island is strong enough for such structures(although soil shooting is a possible solution). The 600' freedom tower inspired office skyscraper (dubbed the wisdom tower) will be build first, and as time and money progresses the rest will shortly follow (the buildings will be constructed from the south of the island to the north). Thanks for viewing my fantasies/ things that could really make Minneapolis the best city in the world and have a wonderful day.
