This 3D model was originally created with Sketchup 13 and then converted to all other 3D formats. Native format is .skp 3dsmax scene is 3ds Max 2016 version, rendered with Vray 3.00 Be it a fantasy, this is what should happen to the ritz block in Downtown Minneapolis. This building is comprised of Condos, apartments, hotels and commercial space. It stands approximately 300 meters tall and would truly be an Icon for the city of Minneapolis. The design is inspired by Trumps international hotel and towers, as well as the shape of loring park from a birds eye view. this building would be the true successor to the IDS tower. You could call it IDS 2 or you could call it the Nicollet Tower. Either way this building would break the stale mold Minneapolis has endured since the recession. To elaborate on the tower design, it has a geometric cylinder base that houses a large retailer store(Walmart in this case) with an elevator in the middle of the cylinder leading all the way to the roof of the structure. The roof itself resembles that of a true crown. The spire is a DNA double helix strand that has LED lighting and imagery (imaging Target Plaza south 100,000 LED's in a spiral form). The south face of the building also has a double helix pattern running from the 3rd floor to the crown, which would also have animated LED'S. I don't know the market well, but I have faith in Minneapolis. And if you guys show support for this design, who knows? Maybe OPUS will see it and consider it.
