Retopology technique for hard surface using Zremesher in Zbrush

Discussion started by fhp

Greetings! Retopology has become too easy in Zbrush. For organic modeling retopology is fantastic using Zremesher in Zbrush. It's automatic! But for Hard surface it's not too well. Here's my strategy on doing it. It's a first process and will save you at least in rush productions.

First, select (create) polygroups -> crease PG and then use ZRemesher!

Well, you can do the same thing you are doing (but faster and better) by using the Edgeloops function, that allows you to create very quicky a clean polygroup loop around the edges...
