Rewards Program for drawing in high quality art.

Question for purchasers of 3D art licenses.

do you yourselves see value in this? to benefit from as a shopper. And would you consider acting as one such donor role.

So i am looking to buy a piece for someone to sort of tailor and commission to me.

I'd do a full commission but I'm more budget oriented. I don't mind not having exclusivity and sort of like the idea of helping world find what they are looking for.

At the same time this would be a piece that is exactly what I'm looking for and so paying more for it makes sense.

So the idea is I pay the artist(s) more to make it worth their while in the first place to bother making this as a basic licensed item on your website.

Since its too risky for them to specifically tailor to me and also bank on sales from your site.

My paying more upfront for what others can subsequently get for less will brings more submissions to your store. Quality ones too.
It would be nice if at checkout there could be a suggestion that people give a small amount extra to the initial investor that made this possible (recognize their philantropy). Like 1$ to 15% suggested donation to the philanthropist that played instrumental role in making that art piece possible.

I would also like to have a small royalty on subsequent sales of said item or items i bring to your site.
So maybe there can be a way for your website to oversee the first purchase sort of like a fiverr.com type responsibility.
So id pay say anywhere from 2.5 to 4.5 times the cost of a simple sale but get to have royalties on future sales to recoup some of my loss.
As this submission would likely not have existed under a simple license nor on your site otherwise.

My conversation with an artist went as follows:
"...I think i need to meet half way sort to speak. so I would pay you more to make a piece for cgtrader. that I can use a basic license from. it'd be as though I
covered like 25% to 1/3rd of 700$. Maybe cgtrader.com could cater to these types of arrangements. Maybe have a small rewards program to incentivize those who help cover early cost to help make this worth your while."

His reply: "Could be interesting and as you say a good incentive"

Cheers,
let's help the world make great 3D related content
