Hello everyone! I was reading This article and after reading and participating in the discussion, a question that may perhaps seem a little silly has come to my mind..

Hypothetically;

1. You bought a cool but fairly recognizable 3D object on the website.

2. Through sculpting, (bending the shape, extruding segments, morphing angles, scaling different angles, adding new objects as accessories and joint them to make a singular object and other things) you make the object very different, yet still somewhat recognizable.

3. You export the object.

Are you now able to sell this object on this marketplace? Would it be b st to contact the original creator and see if they would be okay with the object morphing and sale?

No.
Hypothetical analogy.
1. You buy a corvette.
2. You modify the corvette so as to have overall a different shape, more vents, and style and better spark plugs.
3. You take off or sand down all references to the original manufacturer and rename it to be Curvette.
4. Chevolet takes you to court and you're left penniless.

How would you feel, if someone downloaded your work, made some simple improvements and sold it for half of what you were asking? Who would the customer's go to? Your model that you spent weeks creating, or the other person, who spent 15 minutes improving your design.
