WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO ??

Discussion started by POLYXPER

I want to tell you that I love modeling vehicles, airplanes, tanks, and weapons (for the moment ). So I re-ask the question in a better way : What do YOU want to see on CGT market in general ?( And based on my skills and my schedule, I'll model what I can )

We as sellers like you want nothing. It is only up to you, which models to do and what is your passion. It is your task to make research which models are missing in your favourite categories a do it. I personally would like to have for example NGDV (new generation od cars-Vans for US postal services) or Siemens Inspiro metro train (warsaw and Sofia) or Alice Eviation aircraft in my portfolio.

And I can ensure you that NGDV would be bestseller because it would be unique model on CGT - not like millions models of swords or furniture from millions artists. So good luck with getting references for NGDV.

How about shut up and learn how to communicate on the internet first?

And as LemonadeCG mentioned you should educate yourself how to cummunicate. We need nothing from you. You need (want to get) recommendation from us which models to do. So ask in more friendly way without agressive CAPSLOCK and bold.
If you asked normally for help you would probably get more advices from other artists. Also Word "please" do a lot. :-)

In the next days, I'll change radicaly my way of presenting my models, and also and especially my way of writing descriptions. I've also changed my username: the old one was 3D Prime ( something in my opinion which absolutely not professional ) with a very poor avatar, now my new username is Carbon3DTech, which is quite more professional, and I've designed myself my avatar. I hope this will be a good starting point in the way of being a professional seller on CGT Market.

As I said, I've released a new selling template , which you can see here ( https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/aircraft/military-aircraft/lts-sukhoi-su-75-checkmate ), and I'm going to extend it step by step to all my models.

If you have a crisis of ideas, just go to Wiki sections with cars or aircraft sorted by year. There will be enough materials from there for years and decades of modeling. In most cases, drawings are also not a problem to find, may start with Pinterest.

The style of communication you have chosen would quite possibly be appropriate on some unofficial gaming forum of MMORPG mod developers, but not for CGTrader.
Yes and there is an unspoken rule (or better to say a marker) according to which if a user regularly writes more than three exclamation / question marks in his sentences and draws out the words like spaaartaaaaaaaaa!!!! this is a clear indicator that in front of you is either a child or mentally unstable personality, and in both cases it is not worth continuing a dialogue with such a user, and even more so, offering him to do freelance work, buying his models, etc.

Your call "PLEASE LIKE MY MODELS, EVEN IF YOU DON'T BUY IT" placed at the beginning of the description can only very well contribute to the fact that you will never get likes or sales.
Such messages are always written only at the end of the text, and as a rule, it’s something like don’t forget to rate it.

Good luck! The main thing is not to be lazy and not to rush, make everything with attention to detail and everything will be fine.

you can design everything but you have to research first and what do you want first.

Well, firstly, not everything, BMW, Lamborghini and MINI cannot be designed due to the prohibition of manufacturers and for design, for example model of steam locomotive by Baldwin late 19th century, the author doesn't have skills. Secondly, in my opinion it's obvious that the author doesn't want to do any research.

aha ok thanks I can rule out point 1 and 3, but point 2, is there more information available? is there a list, or ask support directly? It's beyond annoying considering how much work goes into a detailed model like modelling, remesh, uv, texture and rendering.

You can search CGT catalogue wheather there are available models of specific brand from other artists. If yes you can invest your time and effort into doing such branded model. If you will not find such model then it is probably forbidden. There is no other reason why for example BMW models are missing - normally there would be hundreds BMW models available like other brands.

It works perfectly by famous brands. But on the other side I don't know wheather for example "Talgo" (trains manufacturer) is allowed brand. There is no such model on marketplace but it is question wheather no artist had not yet idea to do it or it is really forbidden.

Any brand can file a complaint and the model will be deleted, but at the moment only BMW, MINI and Lamborghini are on the list of models that must be suspended.

Good suggestions. As creators, we can add a bit of fantasy or '' drama'' to make it stand out a bit.

I think you should model what you feel is best, considering your interests and the demand in market.
