Some sellers are increasing prices even doubling or tripling....for summer sale?
It is a shame that CGTrader allows sellers to do this scam over and over. I saw some sellers of models I put in my wish list increasing prices a lot even two or three times. And that usually happens when a sale begins. Not all sellers do that scam but indeed many are used to because CGTrader is not enforcing any policy to prevent that , no monitoring either.
I get that CGTrader gets more money out of higher prices BUT it doesn't look good at all when you have many of your products getting more expensive like that at sellers will and when there is going to be a sale many customers are waiting for to spend their money.
Some customers not monitoring prices surely would get fooled but many would just not buy at a too expensive price. So in the end it is CGTrader public image suffering the most allowing this to happen again and again.
Voting me down for telling the obvious truth is just plain childish, you know.

Hi,
Your feedback is highly appreciated.
CGTrader is not involved in price regulation because we want to give as much freedom as possible to the model creators regarding their pricing and sales strategies. As Tecna previously mentioned, prices depend on the demand and vice versa, therefore the market is somewhat self-balanced. In addition, we do our best to display prices as clear as possible in every step of the purchase in order to avoid any possible misunderstandings.

Hello,
Some raise prices and others lower them. Some have ridiculously low prices and others have been forced to raise the price. Each one is free to sell their models as they wish and I think that's the way it should be. But it is the buyer who decides whether to buy a model or another. If someone raises the price of a model and continues selling it, it is that it was selling too cheaply. If you do not sell it, the price will go down. You can also negotiate the price directly with the seller. For example, this month I accept 50% offers.
Hello,
I do not think I just understand what you say, I've never received those emails. It is clear that bad practices will never bring anything good. You can try to negotiate with the seller, or simply choose another model. You can also talk to those in charge of CGT who can solve problems, here in the forum you will not find a solution.
The problem with CGtrader is that ANY event, special day, anything like that is an opportunity to put a sale and lower our revenues.
Seriously whenever I come on this website I have the feeling that there is always a sale on.
@wing688, i hope you are aware of the fact that cgtrader doesn't sell single model. It's us, sellers, who are selling our products here and paying fee to cgtrader for providing a platform to do so. So if you want to strike someone with your knowledge of laws, then find those sellers, who presumably illegally raises their prices and tell them how you feel about that. Of course, some may laugh in to your face, because not every country has such laws and i'm sure as hell, that sellers don't have to oblige to laws of their buyer's country.
That is nonsense. Any seller selling items or digital goods on any online shops has to obey the same laws that the shop has to. The same applies to anyone selling items on Amazon or games on Steam or apps and games on Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Anyone using cryptography in apps or games has to sign many legal digital documents for example otherwise Apple or Google or Steam can't store the encrypted products or products using any kind of encryption on their servers, you know?
