New Scanned and closed model

Discussion started by siebencorgie

I made my first scanned and afterwards closed model in 3d.

I made some changes to my workflow which allows me to close scanned meshes and then close them. Now the model is viewable from every direction.

Looks pretty cool, Did you scan that and upload it to a 3d program? if so, what program did you use to do it and how did you scan it?

I use a offline workflow (agisoft's Photoscan). For the scan i made many Pictures (in this case about 50) then processed them in agisoft's photoscan. after that i exported the model to Blender, modelled the faces which cant be seen on the photos ( the side where the rock is standing on) afterwards I imported the model back to photoscan and recalculated the textures. As the last steps I retextured the rest of the model and created the lowpoly versions as well as the textures for them. hope that helps :) -siebencorgie
