Design Challenges are back — and this time, we’re celebrating the spookiest season of the year! With great excitement, we announce the Halloween 3D Print Challenge on CGTrader.
This October, we invite all 3D creators, makers, and hobbyists to design, 3D print, and share your most fun, spooky, or magical 3D print models. Whether it’s a creepy decoration, a cute Halloween prop, or a bewitching gadget, this is your chance to showcase your imagination and 3D printing skills to the world.
We’ve seen a growing trend in the community -- 3D printable models are more popular than ever, and Halloween is the perfect theme to bring creativity to life! This challenge is open to everyone, no matter your background — from experienced 3D designers to makers who simply love to experiment with their printers.

The total reward is $1,800 in cash prizes, split between the top entries:

The judging of the challenge is supervised by CGTrader staff. Winners will be chosen based on the following criteria:
In addition to judged prizes, the Community Favorite Award ($200) will go to the model that receives the most hearts from the CGTrader community.
Do I need to upload files or only images?
You must upload a 3D print–ready file and at least one photo of your printed make.
Are renderings required?
No. The printed make photo is mandatory, renderings are optional.
Do I lose copyright to my 3D print file after uploading?
No. You always retain copyright. Licenses (General, Editorial, Custom) let you control usage.
Can I submit older models by just tagging them?
No. Only models uploaded between October 3 – November 5, 2025 count.
Do free models qualify?
Yes, free entries are welcome.
Can I enter multiple models?
Yes! Submit as many as you like, as long as each meets the rules.
What about the Community Favorite award?
It goes to the entry with the most community hearts.
Do I need verification to receive prizes?
Yes. Winners must complete CGTrader’s standard KYC verification before payout.
