DESCRIPTION

This precision tap alignment jig is designed to help start hand taps straight and square, reducing the risk of crooked threads and broken taps. The compact 2.00 × 4.00 × 1.25 inch body provides excellent stability while remaining easy to handle and store.

The jig features eight guide holes sized for the most commonly used imperial tap sizes: #6, #8, #10, 1/4-20, 5/16-18, 3/8-16, 7/16-14, and 1/2-13. Each guide hole is aligned perpendicular to the base to ensure accurate tap starts in wood, plastics, and light metals.

Designed specifically for 3D printing, the jig balances strength and material efficiency and can be printed in PLA+, PETG, or ABS. Light chamfers on the guide holes allow easy tap insertion, while the flat base ensures proper seating on the workpiece. This jig is ideal for machinists, fabricators, woodworkers, and DIY users who want repeatable, professional results when hand tapping.
