This 3D printable 8-in-1 Multi Scribe Tool is designed for accurate marking, measuring, and layout tasks in woodworking, carpentry, and general DIY work. The compact design integrates multiple functions into a single tool, allowing users to perform a range of scribing and marking operations without switching tools.

The tool was developed through multiple design iterations to provide versatile scribing capabilities for different marking situations. A steel rule and pencil store inside the body for convenient transport and storage.

Technical Details

The design consists of multiple printed components assembled with standard hardware.

Required additional parts:

• Steel rule (maximum thickness 0.9 mm, width 16.5 mm; length not critical)• Short hexagonal pencil (approximately 85 mm length, 8 mm point-to-point diameter)• Small metal pencil sharpener• 13 × self-tapping screws (3 mm thread diameter × 12 mm length, head diameter ≤ 6 mm)• 1 × round magnet (10 mm diameter × 5 mm thickness)

Recommended print settings:

• Main body components: 0.2 mm layer height, 0.4 mm nozzle• Structural components: 0.3 mm layer height, 0.6 mm nozzle• TPU parts provide friction to secure the pencil

Supports required for:

• Pencil hole tops (pointed and square sections)• Upper body and sharpener top

Before assembly, the magnet should be pressed into the designated recess.
