DESCRIPTION

Here is my adjustable model stand, for supporting your models securely while you work on them. Suitable for aircraft models from 1/72 up to 1/32 (a 1/32 Stuka of mine fits comfortably).Print using PLA, and if desired, TPU95 or similar for the pads. TPU is optional. It is not required to complete the model.

NOTEYou will need 9x M5x15 Hex headed nuts and bolts to asemble this kit. A printable nut & bolt is suppled for size reference or for test fitting only. See images. You will probably need a little CA glue for the trestle pads & feet under the stand. The rest is held together with the nuts & bolts.

Provided are parts for making 2 different base sizes, one approx 255mm in length, and another mini version of the base that is 226mm long.
Curved and flatter style trestles are provided, the latter being better for supporting wings. The parts are include for TPU pads to be fitted on the trestles, or Trestles with smooth tops so you can add your own felt or rubber strips.Flat and curved Trestles in 2 different sizes are supplied, with or without TPU pads. Trestles have a small notch that helps if you want to use small elastic bands to hold the kit more securelyThe cruciform base is adjustable to allow you to move the wing supports forward & backward. Please see images showing the extra parts supplied rendered in green. Black items represent TPU parts.

Size suitability:-The stand **can **be printed on small print beds the size of a Bambu Labs A1 Mini, if the 30mm shorter mini base parts are used, and rotated 45 degrees. The larger base parts are designed to fit a bed sized at least 220mm (IE Ender3 V1 etc). Objects are 1:1 scale and should not be scaled up or down, otherwise bolts will not fit.

Generally, with the standard parts, Supports are NOT required. However, you might choose to add a few JUST on the TPU Trestle pads, since there is an unsupported bridge on one side. I found that this just left a few strands loose, that were easily trimmed off, and not visible when in position. Try a test piece first to be sure if your printer needs support on these parts.

A text file is provided, showing the list of parts, numbers of each required, printing and Assembly instructions. Please read this, it may save you time & effort. The assembly is straightforward, if you reference the supplied screenshots here.
