During the Hundred Years' War, alongside the armored knights and formidable archers, there were sometimes slingers, more modest but no less ingenious fighters. Armed with simple slings, these men used stone or lead projectiles to harass the enemy from a distance. Although they did not play a decisive role in major battles such as Crécy or Agincourt, they were nevertheless useful during sieges or skirmishes.
