In the late Middle Ages, during the Hundred Years' War, javelineers were a light but valuable component of armies. Armed with short, handy javelins, these soldiers were often drawn from local militias or irregular troops. Their role was primarily to harass the enemy from a distance, break up formations, and sow confusion before a direct confrontation. Although their importance declined with the rise of firearms and more disciplined formations, javelinmen played a significant tactical role in 14th and 15th century battles, often in support of the main troops.
With this set, you can assemble 6 figurines of light javelineers.
This set includes 2 full figuines, 4 bodies, 4 heads and 8 handed javelins.
