DESCRIPTION

1/1800th scale Type 1936A Destroyer model. Certain elements not to scale.

The German Type 1936A were built betwen 1938 and 1943. Fifteen were completed, seven lost. They carried four or five six-inch guns and eight torpedo tubes along with a collection of antiaircraft armament and depth charges. They were not named, their designated numbers were Z23-Z39, (except for Z35 and Z36)

This model is designed and tested at 1/1800th scale, but up-scaling and down-scaling are possible. Since the model is optimized for 1/1800th scale, it is not ideal to print much larger versions due to a lack of detail. The gun barrels and mast have been enlarged.

This is part of my collection of WWII warships, keep an eye out for more to come. If you have a specific request, message me and I'll bump it up my list.

  • Update 14 Aug 19: Added boats and anchor chains. Adjustments for better printability.
  • Update 23 May 26: Added an as-built variant to complement the original wartime refit variant.

Tested with PLA at .1mm layer height with .4mm nozzle.
