1/1800th scale Auxiliary Cruiser Atlantis model. Certain elements not to scale.

The German auxiliary cruiser Atlantis was built in 1937 as the merchant ship Goldenfels and converted into a commerce raider in 1939. She was sunk in 1941. Her armament was unusually heavy for a disguised merchant vessel: six 150 mm guns hidden behind false panels, a 75 mm gun, twin 37 mm and 20 mm anti-aircraft guns, four 533 mm torpedo tubes, and up to 92–93 mines, along with two floatplanes for reconnaissance. Atlantis was designed to resemble ordinary merchant ships and carried materials to alter her appearance during missions. Atlantis could disguise herself as around 26 different ship silhouettes, changing funnels, masts, paint schemes, and even flying different national flags to evade detection.
