Dusty Crophopper is the main protagonist of the Planes franchise. He is a former crop-dusting plane. Later on, he became a racing plane and firefighter a little bit afterward. He competes in various aero races and sports events, including the Wings Around the Globe Rally, Reno Air Races, Jetsky 100 and Red Bulldozer World Championship, in all of which he had a championship title. He debuted in the aerial racing scene in 2013 when he took part in the Wings Around the Globe Rally, which he won that year.

He resides in Propwash Junction, Minnesota, United States.
