The prototype of the car was built by the Norfolk and Western Railway in their Roanoke Shops in Roanoke, VA originally as their N&W class G-72A gondolas from 9/1972-7/1973 (N&W Series 188000-189249) Then later in Norfolk Southern rebuilt all of them in 1998 with new taller sides to increase their capacity to 3351 cubic foot with 2 different phases on their A and B ends and then Norfolk Southern reclassed them as the G-72D's, G-72E's and G-72F's and then renumbered them (NS Series 197300-189249) This HO Scale 1:87 N&W Roanoke Shops 3351 Cubic Foot Gondola STL files comes with the phase I and II bodies with the brake platform, brake wheel and coupler box covers. The only thing that you need to complete this model is some 100-ton rolling bearing trucks with 33' metal wheels and metal couplers of your choice. Also you need 2-56 x 1/4 phillips pan head screws for the trucks and 2-56 x 1/8 phillips pan head screws for the coupler boxes.
