The Cosmic Mech (CosMech) is an original creation based on a vehicle depicted in a 2D animated series based on a comic from 2009, later developed into the short lived Kid Cosmic animated series. Inspired by the show, I developed this characterization with more defined proportions and details, while trying to maintain the stylistic whimsy of the series. This robot was depicted as a building sized vehicle, driven by the defenders of Earth.
The model has been designed to be printed in multiple parts, allow for a variety of print methodologies. It is a freestanding model, but comes with a base, depicting a few stylized buildings in the background. The street lamp is a separate model, which can be placed in the mech's hand after printing. A fully assembled representation of the mech has also been provided.
Printable parts include the head, chestTorso, upperArms, forearm (print 2), hands, waist, knees, legsLower, feet, and base. The peg on top of the knees and legsLower have L and R labels indicating position and relative orientation. The parts are facing forward if the L and R are right side up. The side of the part, relative to the bottom of each letter, is their front. It has been test printedd in resin. The model is about 122mm in height, by default. Scale up for printing on FDM, as thin parts, like the streetLamp made not print well at the default. All parts should be scaled equally for best results.
