River Song was a pivotal character introduced during the Tennant run of the Doctor Who series. At the time, the character also introduced a sonic screwdriver much like the one used by the Doctor. Even though the sonic only appeared in a handful of episodes, it played a major role at its beginning and in the final River Song episodes. Based on images from its entry and exit from the series, I have produced a detailed replica, as close to scale and complexity.
The model has been provided as a unified mesh and split into 20 to 24 parts, allowing for a variety of print options and use of materials to customize color and assembly approach. The model has been test printed on a resin printer, where it is best to print it, because it has many small details and parts. The unified version should be printable in resin and FDM printers, but will likely yield more support artifacts in less favorable locations. It can be downloaded as one ZIP or as individual STL files.
**Assembly instructions** have been provided in the attach sample images. The entire replica can be assembled without glue, making it easy to test and replace parts, but glue can be used to permanently attach areas which will need to be fixed once printed parts are verified. Recall conduit, Conduit Cup, and the Recall Ring should be glued in place. Optionally the wire Conduit should be glued to permanently attach the head to the inner core case.
