1/16
WWII Luftwaffe fighter pilot designed to fit the cockpit of a BF-109G and other 109 fighters that feature the large cannon breech between the legs. This model was designed to fit the Trumpeter 1/24 BF-109G2 kit. It has a replacement seat and control column that fit directly into the kit. The pilot has a Seat bucket type chute, and seat harnesses.
Versions with and without theseat, mask, head turned, goggles up & down. See images for options. Note, depending on your printer, and the scale you print at, you may need to reinstate the seat straps from the shoulder buckle to the rear seat back using tape. These are thin, and might snap. Pilot1 Faces Front, Pilot2 Is facing Left with mask undone, otherwise they are the same. The main files are all in zip archives. Separate files are late additions.
Tips:The models are real world scale, and you should divide these metric dimensions to achieve the scale size. . The Z value does not change beween all model versions, and can be used in your slicer with constrain proportions set to correctly dimension the object without recalculating the size of different versions (IE with the separate arms), but just calculating a scale value is easier.
Scale Settings:Useful settings: For 1/72th, Scale = 1388.888%. For 1/48th, Scale = 2083.333% . For 1/32th, Scale = 3125.000%.For 1/24th, Scale = 4166.666%
How to calculate this percentage for the slicer without knowing the model dimensions. First we know that the model unit is 1m, and has been interpreted by the slicer as 1mm. 1m = 1000mm, so to get the right scale, divide 1000 by your scale. EG 1000 divided by 48 = 20.83333. Now multiply the result by 100 because we need a percentage. The final result is 2083.333 as shown above. All other scales use the same formula.
I recomment resin printing, with fine layer heights. The example prints shown above uses .02mm. Turning AA down may help with the fine parts.
