Vegeta appears for the first time in Dragon Ball Z with Nappa, after Raditz, their comrade and Goku's older brother, died at the hands of Piccolo. They decide to travel to Earth because they learned of the existence of the Dragon Balls, which could grant any wish. Upon reaching Earth, Vegeta and Nappa locate Piccolo, Son Gohan, Yamcha, Ten Shin Han, Krillin and Chaos, with whom they have a battle which results in the death of Yamcha, Piccolo, Ten Shin Han and Chaos. Vegeta (ベ ジ ー タ Bejīta) is a fictional character belonging to the race called Saiyajin, from the manga and anime Dragon Ball. His name comes from his father, King Vegeta, as well as from his home planet, which received his name after its conquest by the Saiyans.
